Abstract

Changes in labor structure of Nghi Xuan district (Ha Tinh province) in the period of 2018 - 2022 are associated with changes in the local economic structure, towards the direction of reducing the proportion of agriculture-forestry-fishery sectors and increasing the proportion of industry construction sectors. However, the rate of decrease and increase in industry groups is still low, showing that the level of transformation is not high. Objective factors such as policies, employment trends, COVID-19 pandemic, natural disasters like storms and floods and subjective factors of workers such as education level, professional qualifications, age of workers, worker psychology have affected the changes in the labor structure of Nghi Xuan. The article proposes a number of solutions on policies, education and training, finance, science and technology, and local industrialization and modernization to promote the transformation of the labor structure of Nghi Xuan district in the coming time in a sustainable direction.
