Abstract

Weekend tourism, a short-term travel trend, is gradually becoming popular, especially among urban residents, workers, and families with limited leisure time. This form of tourism is thriving in localities that are in close proximity to major urban centers. Thach That district, Hanoi, has great potential for weekend tourism development, but its exploitation remains limited. This paper analyzes the experience of exploiting weekend tourism potential from two neighboring localities, Soc Son and Ba Vi, to draw lessons and propose some suggestions to improve the efficiency of weekend tourism development in Thach That district.
