Abstract

Geomorphology plays an important role in the formation and differentiation of tourism types. Dien Bien province is a province with complex terrain, strongly divided, tending to descend from north to south with high mountain ranges, high plateaus and valleys. We use the mapping method and geographic information system to build a geomorphological map. analyzing the characteristics and values of geomorphological resources with tourism activities in Dien Bien province such as: historical and cultural values; aesthetic value; economic value. The results show that the topography of Dien Bien is differentiated into 18 different types such as: medium mountain range, block rock formations mainly composed of metamorphic rocks; mountain mass eroded on the block structure; lithologically eroded massif, arch-block structure; eroded mountain mass...
