Abstract

owadays, one of the fastest growing types of tourism is ecotourism because it has a

positive effect on the host local’s natural and cultural environment. Additionally, ecotourism has the

ability to aid in public education, sustainable development, and conservation activities. In Kien Hai

district, Kien Giang province there are many tourism resources for ecotourism development,

especially ecotourism based on sea and island resources. Research using analysis and synthesis

methods, stakeholder interviews, and field observations. The study examines the potential for

ecotourism based on the sea and island in Kien Hai as well as the demands of visitors for eco-tourism

in the sea-island region. From there, it proposes some solutions to develop ecotourism in the area

effectively in the future.
