Thực trạng về kinh tế - xã hội quy mô hộ gia đình trồng rừng sản xuất trên địa bàn tỉnh Thanh Hóa

Abstract

Forest resources have great values and also creates changes in socio-economic activities of communities living near the forest. Most of the research focuses on the forest-born economic activities, however some current social issues have not received adequate attention. Using survey method by interviewing 576 individuals/households participating in production forest planting activities in 12 rural communes in Thanh Hoa province. The results show that forestry activities have played important role for the community; income from forests also varies among ethnic groups and household categories. In order to achieve truly sustainable development of forest and forestry land, local government should pay attention to forestry development programs to improve households’ income from forest, at the sametime, contribute to the protection of ecological environment in Thanh Hoa province.
