Abstract

Sin Suoi Ho village (located in Sin Suoi Ho commune, Phong Tho district, Lai Chau province) has been recognized as a community tourism village since 2015. The main tourist activities include: relaxation, sightseeing, participating in agricultural activities with local people, learning and experiencing traditional culture of the Mong people (traditional arts, cuisine , festivals, traditional crafts), climbing tours to conquer the peak of Bach Moc Luong Tu mountain... Tourism activities have not only become an important livelihood but also played an important role in preserving and reserve the culture of the Mong ethnic people, contributed to nature conservation and environmental protection. On the basis of evaluating the achieved results and analyzing the limitations in community tourism development, this article has proposed some solutions to develop sustainable community tourism in Sin Suoi Ho village, emphasizing into designing a sustainable management plan, encouraging tourists to experience ecotourism, developing products based on local culture, improving infrastructure and strengthening promotion and marketing.
