Abstract

Potential assessment of agritourism development has been widely published in various studies around the world as well as in Vietnam. Determining the territory's potential for agritourism development is an important basis for designing orientation and proposing solutions to effectively exploit this type in each locality. Based on inheriting the theoretical system for potential assessment and reality of agritourism development in Thanh Hoa province, this research determines a set of criteria to evaluate the potential for agritourism development appropriate to the province's conditions; including 5 groups: (1) resources, (2) infrastructures and technical facilities, (3) community willingness to participate, (4) local government policies and concerns, and (5) agritourism development trends.
