Experimental estimate of solid circulation rate in a circulating fluidized bed

Abstract

Hydrodynamics of a circulating fluidized bed (CFB) combustor is normally characterized by the movement of a 2-phase flow of gas and solid particle inside CFB which is quantified by a so-called solid circulation rate (SCR) in a CFB. This article made an overview of different methods for estimate of SCR by experiment that would be very useful for interpreting
heat transfer and combustion phenomena in a CFB combustor.
