The panorama on the recent development of solar and wind farms in Vietnam and some suggestions
Abstract
Over the past several years the solar and wind power projects have been deployed on a large scale in Vietnam, that phenomenon has contributed to the fast increase of the ratio between power capacity generated from renewable energy and the total power capacity of the country. However, the explosion of solar and wind farms has destroyed the national power plan, in other words, the national power plan could not forecast the future situation, the national power plan runs almost after the happening. Because of that, it is the first time in Vietnam the local transmission lines have been overloaded and the related solar and wind farms have been requested to decrease their generated capacity. For the purpose of giving a concentrated expression in the above-mentioned problem, the panorama on the recent development of solar and wind farms and some suggestions leading to the sustainable and stable development of renewable energy in Vietnam are presented in this paper.
