Experimental research to evaluate effects of ultrasound power on the quality of dried bo chinh ginseng by heat pump dryer combined ultrasound

Abstract

Bo Chinh ginseng is a precious medicine and the chemical composition includes saponins, carbohydrates, coumarin, polyphenols, sugars, and organic acids. Saponin is the main component creating the value of ginseng, so it is called with the name “Ginseng of poor people” because its benefits are nearly similar to others and it is cheaper. By heat pump dryer combined ultrasound, we present experimental method and research results of effects of ultrasound power on drying time, electrical cost as well as saponin loss of Bo Chinh ginseng.
