Role of thermal power in the electricity production of Vietnam

Abstract

Resolution 55/NQ-TW identified the strategy of Vietnam energy development with a vision to 2045 in which thermal power accounts upto 70% of the total national electricity throughput. On the occasion of 60^th anniversary of thermal engineering training and 20^th anniversary of School of Heat and Refrigeration Engineeringunder Hanoi University of Science and Technology, this article presents some major orientations in education and scientific research in the fiels of thermal power of Vietnam in the near term.
