Abstract
Vietnam is a developing country with a very high percentage of informal workers in the total labour force. This study aimed to estimate determinants of income of informal workers in Vietnam. Quantitative analysis results based on 2018 Labor Force Survey data of General statistics office of Vietnam, showed that demographic characteristics such as age, gender, education level and employment characteristics including economic activity status and job position, were determinants of income for informal workers in Vietnam. In particular, the model regression results also showed the gender inequality and the job position gap in the income distribution among the informal workers.
