Opportunities and challenges of export and import of Vietnam from the US- China trade war

Abstract

In the second half of 2017, the world witnessed a current conflict that has not come to an end between the two leading economies- the United States and China. The confrontation between these two most developed countries have caused worldwide influence. For each country, this trade war leads to different opportunities and challenges, especially in the field of international import and export. Vietnam- a country that has been deeply involved in the global production chain is also strongly affected by the trade war. This article focuses on assessing the impact of the trade relationship between these two economies on Vietnam’s import and export activities, thereby suggests some strategies to limit negative impacts and take advantage of the positive effects of this relationship.
