An explored study in using of e-books at three universities in Vietnam

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore the use of e-book by college students in three universities in Hanoi city in
Vietnam. Research uses two mainly methods, research of documentations and questionnaire surveys. Sample
for research includes 487 student who is studying in three universities in Hanoi - Vietnam. The time for survey
conduct in 45 days between 1st October to 16th November in 2018. Total responses of students is 487. The
research results indicated the rate 100% of students who have used the e-books. E-book refers to the kind of
book include three main characters: electronic form; not only the text files, but also including animations, sounds,
video clips and attach to specialized reading devices (reader or computers, smartphones, iPads...) for using.
The research finds out the advantages and some limits of e-books for students. This article also gives some
suggestions in order to use e-books more useful for students in universities.
