Constructing and analyzing financial inclusion index

Abstract

The Global Financial Inclusion (Global Findex) database is constructed by World Bank to provides an insight data
of how people saving, borrowing and making payment. Base on the interview from more than 140 economics with
about 150,00 nationally representative selected randomly adult at the age of 15 and above to inform about the
access and usage of the banked and the unbanked. Take advantage from available and stored data on a large
scale, authors formed a comprehensive financial inclusion index with two main dimensions account; borrowing
and saving. Through analyzing the financial inconclusion index, Vietnamese ranking in term of financial inclusion
was evaluated and compared with other economics in regions and all over the world.
