Abstract

Depending on socio-economic development level and technological development strategy, each
nation in the world has different perceptions and approaches to the Fourth industrial revolution (FIR 4.0). With
high-quality knowledge and human resources, United State, Germany and Japan are the leading nations in
information technology and manufacturing sectors. The nations have potential to implement their national
strategy on development of FIR 4.0. Besides India, China has been emerging as the leading Asian nation with its
policy and action efforts to seize opportunities and take advantage to access FIR 4.0. With its own development
strategy, China relied on national strengths in some key areas that are predicted to be technologically advanced
towards the development of FIR 4.0. The China’s valuable experiences in participating in FIR 4.0 that will be
policy implications for Vietnam to join in challenging sector
