The experimental analysis of export growth and economic growth in Vietnam

Abstract

The main objective of this study is to verify the between export growth and economic growth. At
the same time, consider whether there exists a two-way relationship between exports and economic growth in
Vietnam. Research results show that exports help increase capital, create more jobs and promote technological
progress thereby boosting economic growth. On the other hand, rapid economic growth increases Vietnam’s
competitive advantage in the 2000-2017 period in the international market, thereby boosting exports. This
confirms that the strategy to promote economic growth towards export activities of Vietnam in the past is
perfectly suitable. Based on the analysis, the paper proposes a number of suggestions to promote the positive
relationship between exports and economic growth in Vietnam towards a sustainable economic growth.
