Investing in high technology- a sustainable development orientation for Vietnamese agriculture
Abstract
Due to the problem of dirty food as well as the requirements of deep and wide international integration, Vietnamese
government has had specific and realistic policies to enhance investment in high-tech agriculture in order to
develop sustainably the agricultural sector. This has offered big opportunities for investors in this sector. However,
investing in high-tech agriculture has to deal with some specific barriers such as agricultural land quota policies,
lacking of capital, the problems of quality of labor resource and consuming market. In order to enable high-tech
agriculture to develop sustainably, it is essential to improve land policies, financial supports and credits from the
government. On the other hands, each enterprise must have its own appropriate investment plans and investment
