Current situation of joint venture life insurance companies with charter capital contributed by some banks in Vietnam

Abstract

Based on the current situation of three joint venture life insurance companies:Vietcombank Cardif, Vietinbank
Aviva, BIDV MetLife, the paper has evaluated the results, limitations and some main reasons that prevent these
companies from archieving strong development in bancassurance... Some proposals have been raised in order to
push these joint venture companies to maximize advantages and leverage the strengths of foreign life insurance
companies and banks in Vietnam for stable development.
