The impact of FDI on the output growth of local enterprises in Phu Yen Province

Abstract
This study aims to assess the impact of FDI on the output growth of local enterprises in Phu Yen Province.
We applied the semi-parametric model of Olley-Pakes, which later modified by Levinsohn-Petrin (2003) who
combined the factors affecting FDI to assess the impact of FDI on business growth in Phu Yen province. Based
on the analysis of spill-over effects (horizontally, vertically, in reverse and by reverse supply), the results show
that the impact of FDI on local firms in Phu Yen is not remarkable. The main reason might be that the competitivity
destroys the possitive effects of FDI
