Analysis of the card business activities of Agricultural Promotion Bank by SWOT Model
Abstract
Although it has been operating just more than 5 years, the card-business of the Agricultural Promotion Bank have
received some encourage results. The numbers of card distribution, payment and market share is raising. But, the
result of ATM card business of bank has been losing years through year. There are many reasons for this, one of
the important reason is that the Agricultural Promotion Bank has not yet analysted the card-business activities of
these banks to understand the strength point, weak point, oppotunities and challenge of the environment of the
bank card-business. There for, the article uses the Swot model to analyze the card business of Lao commercial
banks, which can indicate the strengths, weaknesses and opportunities to challenge. On that basis, to help the
Agricultural Promotion Bank have appropriate solutions to develop card business. The article focuses on the
