Profession oriented higher education and recommendations for BAV

Abstract

Higher Education in Vietnam is seeking answers to challenges coming from the modernization processes in society,
in the economy and the professions. Changes in Higher Education are demanded by social actors which most of them
is businesses. A lot of universities in Vietnam are having actions positively to change the training strategy in order to
improve training quality and meet the needs of society.
Profession oriented higher education (POHE) is widely applied in developed countries, especially in Europe, with the
aim of providing the employees with the working abilities to meet needs of employer immediately after graduation.
Toward the goal of “Training follow the needs of society”, POHE training system was begining developed in Vietnam
by “Vietnam – Netherlands higher education project”. This article introduces POHE and suggests recommendations for
reseaching and deployed POHE at Banking Academy of Vietnam in order to improve training qualiy
