Measuring the impact of logistics performance on e-commerce
Abstract
This paper aims to investigate the impact of logistics performance on E-commerce by using data
from 137 countries worldwide from 2014- 2018. The research model indicates that logistics performance,
economic freedom index, as well as the six components that make up the Logistics Performance Index (LPI),
all have a positive influence on e-commerce. Furthermore, the results also demonstrate a strong relationship
between logistics and e-commerce, suggesting that countries should enhance their logistics performance
to expand e-commerce activities, and at the same time imply the policy that with the goal of developing
e-commerce, we can implement solutions to increase the variables that make up the logistics performance
index to increase logistics efficiency.
