Payment Risks in Vietnam- China cross-border trading for Vietnamese exporters-importers and preventive measures

Abstract

Vietnam- China trade has been developing as an inevitable trend. China is one of Vietnam’s major trading partners.
With many similarities in culture and customs and limited competitiveness, especially in demanding markets such
as the United States and Europe, Cross- Border Trade with payment in Chinese Yuan and Vietnamese Dong
continues to be a necessity and is of great interest to international traders. Since then, cross-border payment
for Vietnam- China trade has become an appropriate payment method and is provided by a large number of
Vietnamese and Chinese banks. The article will discuss the advantages and disadvantages for the import-export
enterprises to conduct the cross-border payment for Vietnam- China trade. On that basis, recommendations will
be proposed to prevent the risk of import-export businesses in the implementation of cross-border payment for
Vietnam- China trade
