Corporate Governance in China’s banking system and lesson for Vietnam

Abstract

This paper explores the internal mechanisms within China’s banking system including ownership structure, the Board of
Directors, Executive compensation and financial disclosures. Based on the experience of Big Four Chinese Banks, the
paper gives lessons to improve the corporate governance in Vietnamese commercial banks.
