Impacts of work charateristics on job-based psychological ownership

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the impacts of work characteristics on job-based psychological
ownership. The results of investigating 432 people revealed that all 5 work characteristics, namely skill variety,
task identity, task significance, job autonomy, and job feedback, positively related to job-based psychological
ownership. The strongest impact was from job autonomy, the runner-up was job feedback. The other 3 factors
had approximate impacts on job-based psychological ownership. The paper concludes by discussion, limitations,
and recommendations
