Capial sources in socio-econonomic development in the Mekong Delta
Abstract
The paper gives an overview of the current situation of capital sources for socio-economic development in the Mekong Delta region (Mekong Delta). The Mekong Delta is known as the region with the most favorable position of Vietnam in trade with ASEAN countries and the Mekong sub-region. Increasing resources and attracting lawful capital sources in investment and production are considered suitable for sustainable development in the Mekong Delta. Although there are many advantages in socio-economic development, the region has not fully promoted their effectiveness in production investment due to a number of barriers such as incomplete infrastructure, lack of skilled labor, climate change and environment, logistic sectors .... Assessing the current status of the capital source in this region suggests the directions to maximize the its potentials and comparative advantages, turning challenges into opportunities in the context of globalization and international economic integration.
