Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the preliminary outcomes of arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction at the Department of Surgery – Hai Phong University of Medicine Hospital from October 2023 to August 2024. Methods: A retrospective descriptive study involving 12 patients who underwent arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction at the Department of Surgery, Hai Phong University of Medicine Hospital, from October 2023 to August 2024. Results: The mean age of the study population was 23.03 ± 8.28 years (range: 18–39 years). Five patients had concomitant meniscal tears. The average graft diameter was 8.22 ± 0.64 mm (range: 7–9.5 mm), and the average graft length was 61 ± 1.2 mm (range: 60–65 mm). Knee function, assessed using the Lysholm score, improved from 51.61 ± 8.27 preoperatively to 83.38 ± 4.78 at three months postoperatively. Conclusion: Arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction at Hai Phong University of Medicine Hospital has shown promising initial outcomes.
