VIETNAM - U.S. EDUCATIONAL COOPERATION (2013-2023): FROM A NATIONAL TO AN INSTITUTIONAL LEVEL
Abstract
Reflecting on a decade of robust bilateral relations between Vietnam and the United States, we recognize a significant transition from a comprehensive partnership in 2013 to a comprehensive strategic partnership in 2023. Given the dynamics of globalization and international integration, an exploration of educational cooperation between our two nations is not only relevant but essential. This study clearly outlines key educational support programs, evaluates their tangible outcomes, and showcases specific case studies that highlight the vital roles and shared concerns of both countries. A case study involving collaboration between a Vietnamese university and its American counterparts vividly illustrates the various levels of successful international cooperation. This analysis lays a foundation for anticipating the future of Vietnam-U.S. collaboration in education, especially within tertiary institutions.
