Abstract

Over the past time, Vietnam's stock market recorded positive movements, in the bullish direction. The number of accounts opened by investors at securities companies continuously increased; The stock market capitalization also continuously set new highs. This development demonstrates the efforts of the Government of Vietnam in managing macroeconomic policies during the complicated and prolonged COVID-19 pandemic. However, reality shows that the number of investors using margin are constantly increasing, which is quite risky. The article analyzes and evaluates this situation and makes some policy recommendations
