Abstract

Research on Emerging Technologies by the World Customs Organization (WCO) in 2019 revealed that several advanced technologies have significantly impacted customs procedures, bringing numerous benefits. These technologies include Blockchain, IoT (Internet of Things), big data analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, biometrics, unmanned aerial vehicles (drones), augmented and virtual reality, and 3D printing. In the process of applying the achievements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution to international trade, initiatives stemming from the collaboration between the World Customs Organization (WCO) and the World Trade Organization (WTO) are highly regarded. In Vietnam, the application of the Fourth Industrial Revolution achievements is also being actively pursued, opening up new prospects.
