Abstract

The key economic region in the North comprises seven provinces and cities: Hanoi, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Vinh Phuc, and Bac Ninh. In recent years, the tourism sector in this region has made significant progress, contributing to promoting economic growth, restructuring the economy towards development, creating numerous job opportunities, and ensuring social welfare. However, the current development of the tourism sector in this region is dim and has not fully realized its potential and strengths in line with the requirements of international integration. This article analyzes the current situation and issues concerning the development of the tourism in the Northern key economic region and proposes solutions for the future.
