Developing the contigent of ethnic minority cadres at commune level in contemporary Thua Thien Hue Province

Abstract

Abstract: The policy on developing a contingent of ethnic minority cadres at commune level has played a particularly important role in the system of ethnic policies in Thua Thien Hue province. This is not only a matter of practising ethnic equality in the field of politics, but also that of creating a strong driving force to promote fast and sustainable development of ethnic minorities and mountainous areas because commune-level ethnic minority cadres are a key force in leading, managing and organizing the implementation of the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the province. The study aims to clarify the role of ethnic minority cadres; point out the limitations and propose solutions to develop the commune-level ethnic minority cadres in Thua Thien Hue province in the current period.
