Abstract

Abstract: The Reeves’ Butterfly Lizard (Leiolepis rubritaeniata Mertens, 1961) has a relatively narrow distribution range in the Central Highlands of Vietnam. Studies on this species are very limited. Used specimens (7 adult males and 3 adult females) in this study were collected from Yok Don National Pak, Dak Lak Province from February to March 2020. Morphological analysis results indicated that this species is sexual size dimorphism. Adult males have greater body mass and morphological measurements than adult females (adult males: BM = 28.68 ± 2.76 g corresponding with SVL = 110.32 ± 7.03 mm; adult female: BM = 16.01 ± 1.69 g corresponding with SVL = 94.71 ± 3.11 mm). This study was the first to record the distribution of L. rubritaeniata Mertens, 1961 in Dak Lak Province.
