ASSESSMENTS OF DROUGHT RISK IN THE SOUTH OF VIET NAM

Abstract

The paper presents the results of drought risk calculation in the Southern region, based on hazard, exposure, vulnerability. Data sources includes observational data from 14 stations in the Southern region from 1980-2018 and socio-economic data updated to 2018. Research results indicate that high risks occur in 5/19 provinces and the average risk occurs in 14/19 provinces in the Southern region. Low low and very high risks do not appear in the area.
