FOSTERING PRODUCTION OF ORGANIC VEGETABLES AND SPICES IN THE NORTHERN MIDLAND AND MOUNTAINOUS REGION
Abstract
The paper examines the development of organic vegetable and spice production in the Northern Midland and Mountainous region. The paper relies on secondary data sources through 2021 along with conventional analytical techniques for evaluation, including descriptive and comparative statistics. According to the findings, organic vegetables and spices have been grown in several provinces in the region using proper and increasingly diversified association forms of production process, bringing certain economic benefits to local farmers. However, there are some limitations, such as small production area, undiversified product structure, loose production links, tough consumption market and the economic efficiency being not really stable. In light of this circumstance, 5 groups of solutions to develop production and consumption of this product genre in the coming time are proposed.
