Abstract
This paper summarizes key results of the Sixth Assessment Report (AR6) of the Working Group I (WGI) on the physical science basis. The AR6-WGI is based on a synthesis of the latest advances in climate science with a focus on both human influence and climate impacts in their different forms. The report addressed the warning points about climate change: Extreme weather is happening everywhere on Earth, the atmosphere and oceans are warming at an unprecedented rate in history and have irreversible consequences. Most importantly, however, these findings provide a clearer picture of the future ahead. People need to take "immediate, rapid, and widespread" GHG emission reduction actions to limit the worst effects of climate change, which can help achieve the goal of keeping temperatures low. Earth's temperature has increased by more than 1.5°C compared to pre-industrial times. The IPCC's Sixth Assessment The report is likely to be the basis of negotiations, including, GHG emission reduction, climate change adaptation, financial mobilization, and cooperation in COP26 taking place in Glasgow, UK.
