Abstract
This screening survey aimed to assess the level of depression, anxiety and stress in health care workers in the hospital of Tropical Diseases, Ho Chi Minh city. This was a descriptive cross-sectional survey with 601 health workers who completed a DASS-21 questionnaire. The data was entered into Epi Data and analyzed by SPSS. The results showed that the prevalence of depression, anxiety and stress was 28.5%, 38.8% and 19% respectively, using moderate and severe level. Women have a higher risk of mental symptoms than men. There was no significant difference relating to other demographic factor including profession, years of working or age group. They need a support from the hospital managers and psychological/psychiatric experts to decrease their mental pressure.
