Abstract
In the digital age, visual and auditory culture is taking over and gradually becoming the center of life. The convenience and appeal of images and sounds have attracted users, especially young people, making accessing information and entertainment through visual and auditory means more popular. Along with the development of science and technology, economic conditions have contributed to the improvement of public transportation (PT) infrastructure in Vietnam. PT is gradually becoming the main means of transportation for students. This has created an environment that supports reading, not only helping to improve knowledge but also creating opportunities for students to relax after hours of study and research. This paper analyzes the current state of reading culture among students at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi to identify the factors that affect students' reading culture when using public transportation. Based on this, the authors propose appropriate recommendations to develop reading culture for students at the University, contributing to the promotion of reading culture in Vietnam.
