Challenges and opportunities in implementing AUN-QA accreditation for the information and library industry
Abstract
This article analyzes the challenges and opportunities encountered during the quality assessment of the Information and Library Science curriculum based on the AUN-QA requirements at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City. Based on the 2024 assessment report, several areas for improvement were identified, including learning outcomes, programme structure, assessment methods, quality assurance data, and faculty development. In addition, the assessment process revealed opportunities for training programme innovation aligned with digital transformation and promote internationalization. Accordingly, the article proposes directions for improvement to enhance training quality in future assessment cycles.
