Role theory in analyzing lecturers’ information behavior
Abstract
Role theory is applied in many societal research areas. However, its usage in the information - library sector to analyze the information behavior of users and lecturers is not comprehensive. The article introduces the definition of "role theory" and the role of lecturers in academia. It also reaffirms the importance of applying role theory in analyzing lecturers' information behavior at university libraries.
