Assessment of student digital capabilities: methodologies, criteria and assessment tools

Abstract
The paper discusses three existing approaches to assess the digital capabilities of students: self-assessment, knowledge-based assessment, and performance-based assessment, as well as a variety of DigComp-based digital literacy assessment toolkits for each. As a result, the article investigates the criteria, scales, and process of creating a digital competency assessment toolkit in order to propose a method for designing digital competency assessment toolkits for students.
