A systematic review on the development of research support services in university libraries

Abstract

     Recent studies on research support services in university libraries have been thriving. To provide a comprehensive overview of research on this topic, the author conducted a systematic review of literature across three online databases: Scopus, ProQuest, and Science Direct, focusing on publications from 2020 to July 30, 2024. The research results identified five key areas in the studies of research support services, including: (1) Development and evaluation of research support services, (2) Support for research skills, (3) Application of new technologies in research support services, (4) Research data services and data management, (5) Collaborative development of research support services.
