Academic libraries in Vietnam in the Industry 4.0 era

Abstract

    The Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0) is a major topic that has gained interest of and discussed by many organizations, universities, libraries ... over the past time. Accordingly, the article summarizes the origin, nature, and core elements of digitalization in Industry 4.0. In addition, the article presents some impacts of Industry 4.0 on higher education and university library activities in Vietnam. It then proposes fundamental solutions to make university libraries in Vietnam proactive in approaching Industry 4.0.
