Risk analysis and assessment in public-private partnership (PPP) projects using Monte Carlo simulation

Abstract

Compared with developed countries, PPP projects in Vietnam are still quite new, so the data and implementation experience are not quite available. Currently, a large number of PPP projects in Vietnam are being implemented, requiring in-depth researches on issues related to PPP projects, especially risk factors affecting projects. This study provides a process and measure to prioritize risk using the Monte Carlo simulation method with the help of Crystal Ball software to analyze and evaluate risks in PPP projects in Vietnam, from thereby coming up with solutions to prevent and respond to risks.
