ANALYSIS OF THE FAILURE MECHANISM OF SLOPED ROOFS ON MULTI-LAYERED SOIL
Abstract
Abstract: The study "Analysis of the Failure Mechanism of Sloped Roofs on Multi-Layered Soil" utilizes limit equilibrium methods based on the solutions of Bishop (BSM), Janbu (JSM), and Spencer (SM) using the software SLOPE/W, and compares them with the finite element method using the software PLAXIS. The research focuses on identifying and comparing the factors influencing the failure of sloped roofs on multi-layered soil. The objective is to evaluate the stability of the slope under various conditions, identify the key factors leading to failure, and propose optimal design solutions. The results from the limit equilibrium methods will be compared with those from the finite element method to assess the effectiveness and accuracy of each approach.
