SEMI TOP-DOWN COMBINED WITH EARTH ROOF: AN EFFECTIVE METHOD FOR BASEMENT CONSTRUCTION

Abstract

Abstract: In the building of basements (deep excavation holes) of high-rise buildings, the choice of construction method plays a decisive role in the technical and economic success of the project. Currently, we mainly rely on two construction methods: “Bottom-up” and “Top-down”. In this article, the author further presents the "Semi-top down" method combined with Earth-bank to take advantage of the advantages and overcome the shortcomings of the above two methods.
