VISUALLY CONTEXT-BASED CONSTRUCTION SAFETY ASSESSMENT SYSTEM: INNOVATIONS AND POTENTIAL FOR APPLICATION IN VIETNAM

Abstract

Abstract: Occupational safety in the construction industry is
a global challenge, especially in Vietnam where accident rate is
alarming. Traditional safety education and assessment methods
often fail to meet practical competency requirements. This article
introduces the Context-Based Safety Assessment (CBSA) system - a
new approach that emphasizes practical competency evaluation
by applying visual technologies and a flexible modular assessment
structure. The system is designed with a scientific process to
enhance the effectiveness of teaching and testing in construction
safety. The article also analyzes the potentiality, barriers, and
proposes a roadmap for applying CBSA in university-level training
and vocational training in Vietnam, aiming to improve human
resource quality, reduce accidents, and foster a sustainable safety
culture
