The current management situation in assessing the achievement of learning outcome of program at Nguyen Tat Thanh University

Abstract
Assessing the achievement of program learning outcomes (PLOs) is a relatively new issue in Viet Nam. It has received increasing attention and has been implemented at higher education institutions; however, it has also raised many issues that require further research, evaluation, and the proposal of appropriate solutions. With the aim of contributing to the improvement of management practices at Nguyen Tat Thanh University, this study applied qualitative and quantitative research methods to analysis and evaluate the current management situation of this activity at the university. The results showed that the principal always focused on directing the management. However, there are still limitations in the management of planning suitable to the actual conditions of the school, building a network of the stakeholders, delivering two-way information and reporting system, implementing cycle of continuous quality improvement and equipping specialized software for evaluation activities. Based on the survey results, the study proposed some measures to improve the management of these activities, thereby enhancing the overall quality of education at the University.
