RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT OF A REFLECTION TESTING SYSTEM FOR DRIVING TRAINING AND TESTING FACILITIES

Abstract

Driving reøexes are factors that directly affect driving ability and traffic safety. The testing driving
reøexes needs to be done before the learner takes the driving test as a condition test to avoid causing
accidents, that could happen rigth at the driving test facility as well as other risks in the future. However,
this test has not been considered and used in many countries around the world. This prompted the
research team to propose the idea of designing and implementing a system to test the driver's reøexes.
The system will provide scenarios to test the driver's reøexes including the ability to recognize signals,
the ability to react and make steering decisions, the ability to control speed and make braking
decisions,... Results will be sent to the computer for processing, storage, communication and display on
electronic boards and computers, the data will also be posted to the WebServer. The results can be
exported to an Excel öle for data analysis, evaluation, and recording.
